goals
“Career planning”
is the process of getting opportunities that are in need like education and
training based on your passion, interests and goals for your future. It is a
good way to figure out what job is good on you and you want to do before searching
for a job. Let’s set achievable long-term goals along your career path in 10,15
and 20 years. Then based on your long-term goals, you can set short-term goals at
each stage to make sure that you are stepping the stage to achieve long-term
goals that you set.
These are things
that you can use when you consider your career planning goals.
l Preference
-What you want to be in the future such
as engineering, fashion design and MBA.
l Values
-Things that is important within your role. There are many values that you can consider.
l Abilities
l -Talent that you have and can naturally
do well. On other words, it is your strength that you can bring to the job.
l Skills
l -You need to learn regardless of
your profession. Let’s say communicating effectively is one of the necessary to
work.
l Traits
-To figure out your personality well.
It reflects people’s characteristic patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
l Priorities
-What is the most important point within
your role such as health, self-improvement and money.
There are also
many samples that you could follow based on your career plan like on internet and
in book. To manage your career plan, these are one of the good ways that are described
above.
How I can reference
the way?
There are
many details that I can reference for my career plan goals. It is clear what I need
to consider based on my values, traits and so on. Also, it allows me to learn
skills that I am in need of being the role that I want to.
How important
it is to make your Career planning goals?
Planning career
path can provide a lot of opportunities for your future. It allows you to identify
your strength, interests and direction. Then it could also allow you to figure
out the weakness you need to overcome for the role you want and you would work
on improving weaknesses. Setting short-term goals at each stage let you make sure
where you are. Even if you want to change your goals, it is easier to change
your career plan than if there are no career planning goals because you confirm
what I should do at each stage by short-term goals and you can remake with
considering your plan. After planning your career planning goals, you could even
have confidence for your dream job.
Let’s make “career
planning goals”.
During making
this journal, I came up with many things that make me consider my future. I was
like one of my weaknesses doesn’t fit a job so it is better to change. However,
I realize that if I know which skills are needed in advance, I can learn as much as I can. I don’t need to give up but also I can rethink other ones that would fit
me more. I planned my career goals in general even it helped me to decide the
way. So I am going to plan in details based on the roadmap that I planed and a
sample.
